This February Half Term, join us for a storytelling session of 'The Forest’s Secret: Helping Children Discover the Magic of Nature' along with simple games to re-connect with nature in our Rose Garden.

Nigel Grimes reads his new children’s book and guides families with useful techniques to embrace nature and get all its benefits in 45-minute sessions around the rose garden.

Book Info: The Forest’s Secret: Helping Children Discover the Magic of Nature is the first UK-originated children’s picture book to integrate forest bathing, sensory mindfulness, and research-backed wellbeing guidance in one accessible, story-led and activities format.

Please note:

  • Meet at the Snuff Mill Bridge.
  • Wear weather appropriate clothing. Bring your own picnic blanket or yoga mat for sitting on. Parts of this activity will take place outside.
  • All areas will be accessible.
  • Suitable for age 5+
