Step into a storybook world with the Reading for Wellbeing Team from Gateshead Libraries on a Regency Ramble at Gibside. A perfect way to romanticise your day and lose yourself in stories beneath the trees.
Expect a charming mix of favourites from the wit of Jane Austen to the drama of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton, alongside hidden gems from lesser‑known authors, inspired by the Regency era. It’s a walk for anyone who loves literature, fresh air and the quiet joy of imagining life in another time.
Beginning at the bookshop you'll wander towards the Stables, take time to discuss views see scenic viewpoints.
Please note:
- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- At the second-hand bookshop in the Market Place, 5 minutes before the start of your walk.
- Weather appropriate clothes.
