Outdoor Theatre: Pinocchio
Join award-winning Illyria Theatre in the gardens at Hanbury Hall as they perform Carlo Collodi's Pinocchio on Saturday 1 August.
A wooden puppet runs away, hoping to find fun and adventure, but instead finds demanding bosses, con-artists and peer-pressure. Bombarded by money, games and other attention-grabbing attractions, how can Pinocchio ever become a real boy when even lies told to cover up awkward truths are as plain as the nose on his face?
Running time:
95-minutes (approx.), including a 20-minute interval
Suitability:
Ages 5+ (younger children also welcome).
Please note:
- When you arrive at the venue, parking is available in the main visitor car park. The performance area is located on the events lawn, to the right hand side of the Hall.
- Make sure you bring a blanket or chair to sit on, weather-appropriate gear, and a picnic if you wish.
- The performance area is approx. 180 meters from the visitor car park, on the events lawn next to the Hall. A buggy will be available to transport you from the car park to the performance area if needed. The performance area is wheelchair accessible, and there is an accessible toilet in the café.
- Ages 5+ (younger children also welcome).
- For those wishing to purchase refreshments, the Stables Café will be open before the performance begins and during the interval. Toilets are located in the Stableyard, adjacent to the café facility.
