Guided Walk - The Belne Brook Trail
Join us on a journey through history as we visit the source of the brook on Walton Hill, visiting old Mills & Forges that were once the centre of local industry along the way.
Discover nature, beauty and history at the Clent Hills on a guided walk with one of our experienced volunteer guides.
Our knowledgeable guides will take you on a 5-mile walk (lasting around 3 hours) where you’ll learn about the fascinating history of the area, visiting old Mills & Forges that were once the centre of local industry, as well as taking in the picturesque landscape of Clent and the surrounding area on a walk through Walton Hills to the source of the Belne Brook.
The route does include walking up steep sections of hill and climbing over fences and stiles. This walk is not dog friendly due to the route of this walk.
Please note:
- Please meet at the Nimmings Road car park for a 10am start. Usual parking charges apply (free for NT members).
- Please dress for the weather. Clent Hills can be a bit cooler and wetter than the surrounding areas. Sensible footwear such as walking boots should be worn.
- The route does include walking up steep sections of hill and climbing over fences and stiles.
The walk is approximately 5 miles and takes around 3 hours. - Not suitable for very young children.
- The walks start and finish at the National Trust car park at Nimmings Wood. There are toilet facilities and a cafe here where you can buy refreshments. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time.
