Ilam Park: Little Explorers Club
Step into the countryside with your little one at Ilam Park’s free monthly preschool nature club. Each session is set in the Coach House, with gentle adventures into nature, hands‑on seasonal crafts, and cosy story time.
Join us at Ilam Park’s Little Explorers Club, a FREE, friendly, flexible way for young children to explore, create, and connect with the natural world.
The Little Explorers Club is set in the Coach House in the Ilam Park Stableyard so we’re flexible to all weathers. Each month is seasonally themed and designed for tiny tots to play and connect to nature and other children, while giving parents a place to meet other parents.
10:30-11:30 Join our activity session to get stuck into crafting and/or pick up a seasonal scavenger hunt sheet, go exploring or play in the Hidden Play Garden.
11:30 Join us for storytime where we’ll come together and read a selection of books.
Pre-book a kids lunchbox (sandwich, drink and 3 sweet or savoury snacks) or a coffee and cake for adults and stay and enjoy these in the Coach House or Tea Room after storytime has ended. Sandwich options are cheese, ham or tuna. Please let us know at checkout if you or your child have any allergies.
2 March – Theme: Feathered Friends!
6 April (Bank Holiday Monday) – Theme: Adventures through history!
4 May – Theme: Meet the mini beasts!
1 June – Theme: June in bloom!
6 July – Theme: What’s in the rocks?
Please note:
- Please meet in the stableyard, in the Coach House.
- We'll be based inside in the Coach House, but during the activity time you can drop out to play in the Hidden Play Garden or go on our scavenger hunt so dress for the weather.
- The activities are designed to be accessible with step free routes around the park and to the event space. Baby changing facilities are available in all toilets and there will be time for a loo stop before we begin the session.
- This event is designed for children aged 2-5, but we're not strict on ages.
- All children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
