Make your own eco mini garden workshop including a tour of Mr Straw's House
Come and join us at Mr Straw's house for this unique family friendly workshop. Let your creativity flow and make a mini eco garden in a vintage container using mini living plants, cacti and succulents. A tour of the house is included.
William and Walter Straw were keen gardeners who had an enviable cacti and succulent collection. Join us at Mr Straw's House for a fun family friendly workshop to make your own mini garden with a collection of mini living plants, cacti and succulents. There will be options to add in gravel paths and mini terracotta pots of dried flowers. Make a little cottage, barn or kennel and choose from a selection of miniature animals.
A relaxed, friendly, creative and fun workshop. Demo and full support throughout if required. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take your creation home. All child places will allow entry for a free supervising adult/guardian.
A 30 minute tour of the house is included. Due to the layout and need to conserve the house, this will be done in small groups of 4/5 people.
Please note:
- The workshop takes place in the tea room at Mr Straw's House
- The workshop is inside but please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Mr Straw's House is not accessible for wheelchairs and those with mobility issues who will struggle with lots of stairs.
- This event is for 14 years + only, children must be accompanied by a participating adult
