Dawn Chorus Walk - Canons Ashby
Wake up with the wildlife and experience Canons Ashby like you’ve never seen - or heard - it before! Join us on Dawn Chorus Day for a magical early‑morning adventure as the parkland comes alive with birdsong.
As the sun rises over the landscape, we’ll wander through grassland and uneven parkland paths, hoping to catch the melodies of a wide variety of birds greeting the new day. From the soft notes of blackbirds warming up to the full morning orchestra, it’s nature’s most uplifting concert—and you’ll have the best seat in the house.
Meet at 6am outside visitor reception
Set off for a peaceful guided walk through the parkland
Enjoy the sunrise and the spectacular dawn chorus
Return for a well‑earned hot drink at around 8am
The route includes grass and uneven ground.
Sorry, no dogs allowed—this one’s for the birds!
Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just love the idea of starting the day with something special, this is a rare chance to see (and hear!) the park in a whole new light.
Please note:
- Meet in the Car park by Visitor Reception.
- You’ll be outside all the time, so please dress appropriately in warm clothing with sturdy footwear. You may wish to bring a torch and binoculars.
- The route includes grass and uneven ground.
- Suitable for children with an accompanying adult.
- We are able to offer this dawn chorus walk because of the kind support of the Wildlife Trust for Beds Cambs & Northants.
