Come and enjoy a day in the beautiful setting of Ilam Park and create your very own needle felted fungi with artist Hannah Dodd.

Join us for half a day of need felting, in our beautiful autumanal countryside setting. Join textile artist Hannah Dodd for a captivating workshop where you'll discover the magic of transforming wool fibres into delightful 3D creations. The perfect cosy craft to get into this autumn!

Witness the fascinating process as wool intertwines and tightens, forming a solid and textured base. Using a barbed felting needle, you'll master the dry felting technique, sculpting and shaping your very own whimsical hare. Hannah will guide you through each step, revealing the secrets to creating depth, form, and unique character.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn:

  • The fundamentals of dry needle felting.
  • How to build 3D shapes and forms with wool.
  • Techniques for adding detail and personality to your creations.
  • How to create your very own whimsical felted hare.

All your materials, as well as teas, coffees and cakes provided.

This event, like all our events is open to members of the National Trust and non-members. Money raised at our events goes back into looking after the White Peak.

Please note:

  • Meet in the Coach House events space in our Stableyard.
  • All materials will be provided.
  • There is step free access to the Coach House events space, an accessible toilet and changing place available. If you have any questions about access please email PeakDistrict@nationaltrust.org.uk or call the Estate Office for further details 01335 350503.
