Guided walk at Parke: Birdsong
A gentle morning walk around the beautiful Parke estate (maximum of 2 miles). Learning about the local wildlife with a focus on enjoying and identifying birdsong.
Community Ranger and bird enthusiast Toria will guide you across the Parke Estate (maximum of 2 miles) - stopping regularly to enjoy the birds.
This walk is perfect for those just starting to learn about birds and identifying them by their song. At this time of day the birds will be up and about, while not too many people are, and as the dawn chorus fades it can be easier to identify individual songs.
Sorry, this walk is not suitable for dogs.
Please note:
- Head to the Map Board in the corner of the car park and look out for the friendly team in red what3words: ///walnuts.flipper.prowling
- Please wear sensible footwear and suitable clothing, including waterproofs. You might like to take water and a snack. Bring binoculars if you have them.
- The walk covers varied terrain so is not suitable for those with mobility issues but please get in touch if we can support you with your mobility needs.
- This walk is designed for adults but older children might enjoy it too.
- There is no admission fee at Parke but car parking charges apply - free for National Trust members.
