Calling all bookworms, canonical literature devotees and poetry connoisseurs… step into a storybook world with the Reading for Wellbeing Team from Gateshead Libraries.

Expect a charming mix of classics and lesser‑known contemporary authors, inspired by blossom and spring nature. 

A perfect way to romanticise your day and lose yourself in stories beneath the trees.

Please note:

  • Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
  • Meet your guides at the second-hand bookshop in the Market Place, 5 minutes before the start of your walk.
  • Please wear weather appropriate clothes.
  • The route follows existing pathways. The walk will be a leisurely pace with plenty of rest stops. For full property access information see our website.
