Sounds of the Landscape: a folk song journey

A special May Day experience with folk musician Ellie Beare as she guides you through a reflection of the natural world, through song and poetry.

Musician Ellie Beare will lead you on a gentle wander across the beautiful Parke Estate (maximum of 1 mile). Stopping at peaceful locations along the way to experience a different way of connecting to nature through folk songs.

Please note:

  • Please meet at the Map Board in the corner of the car park what3words: ///walnuts.flipper.prowling
  • Please wear sensible footwear and suitable clothing, including waterproofs. You might like to bring a lightweight fold up chair or ground sitter to carry on the walk.
  • There will be uneven terrain, and unfortunately some areas are not suitable for those with high accessibility needs. Please get in touch to discuss how we might be able to help.
  • This walk is designed for adults but older children might enjoy it too.
  • There is no admission fee at Parke but car parking charges apply - free for National Trust members. It's possible to walk or cycle to Parke from Bovey Tracey, half a mile away.
