Drawn to Trees: Artist talk and book signing with Luke Adam Hawker

Listen to Luke’s inspiring personal story, love of nature, and journey in writing his graphic novels ‘Together’ and ‘The Last Tree: A Seed of Hope’. Followed by book-signing.

In 2026 Stourhead have collaborated with the artist and author Luke Adam Hawker on ‘Drawn to Trees’. It is celebration of Luke’s incredible drawings, Stourhead’s outstanding tree collection, and our shared fascination with these mythical beings. See Luke’s exhibition: The Tree Zodiac and explore a specially curated Tree Trail featuring new artworks. Both the trail and exhibition run until the end of October 2026. 

Hear Luke’s story and his passion for nature connection and the mythical enchantment of trees. 

Doors open at 10.30am. Tea and coffee available until 11am, donations are welcome. 

Free event, pre-booking required. Car parking charges may apply.

Please note:

  • Please park in the main visitor car park and make your way to Stourton Memorial Hall – this may take 5-10 minutes.
  • Please arrive 15 mins before the start of the event. 
  • The venue has central heating.
  • There are 5 disabled car parking bays available in the The Spread Eagle Inn Car Park: 50m distance to the entrance of the Memorial Hall.  Distance from visitor reception to the Memorial Hall: 300m. Trampers and Mountain Trike wheelchairs available to hire. The hall has step-free access. There are toilets opposite the hall including a disabled toilet.
  • Suitable for children aged 16+.
  • Assistance dogs only.
