Join us to find out how to green your balcony or window box this spring and support urban nature and pollinators. To help you get started with the Sky Gardening Challenge, the National Trust has teamed up with experts this spring to bring you a series of free, hands-on workshops.

Join the Plant CIC team at The Gate, Meadowside, 21 Aspin Ln, Manchester, M4 4GU to explore the basics of turning your balcony or window box into a green oasis for nature.

Prepare to get your hands dirty and get gardening as the Plant gardening team takes you through how to start your balcony greening journey. At the end, you can take your garden creation home with you.

Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Please note:

  • Accessibility: ground floor accessible workshop space.
  • Wear comfortable clothing.
  • This workshop is suitable for families of all ages but please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. (Please also book a ticket for any children over age 5 attending.)
  • Suitable for well behaved dogs
