National Walking Month: Birdsong walk

Join us on an early morning wander around the garden at Coleton Fishacre, spotting nesting birds and listening out for birdsong.

Part of the National Walking Month series of walks, join local ecologist Dr Ken Neal in the garden and try your hand at bird spotting.

Bird eyesight is highly sensitive, able to pick out the reds, pink and yellow berries in the garden, so to help them out, we recommend wearing muted colours to blend in with the garden.

There are limited spaces on this walk, so booking is essential. As this walk takes place outside normal opening hours, there is no admission charge, but parking charges still apply.

Pleas note:

  • Please park in the visitor car park, where a member of the team will meet you.
  • Please wear weather appropriate clothing in muted colours (greens, browns, black) and sturdy footwear. If you have your own binoculars, feel free to bring them along.
  • The walk will contain some steep and narrow paths.
  • Children are very welcome when accompanied by an adult.
