Watercolour Workshops in the Garden

Spend a peaceful and creative day immersed in nature at our Beginner’s Watercolour Workshop.

Join Sussex artist Zara Wilkins for a session of outdoor watercolour painting. This summer we will be hosting two workshops inspired by our lakes - have a read below to find out what the focus will be for the two sessions.

These sessions are aimed at complete beginners - no expectations of previous drawing or watercolour experience. Lots of guidance will be given throughout the class, with the opportunity to experiment and create something of your own towards the last 3rd of the session using the techniques learned.

How the classes will run:

Meet at the reception area at Sheffield Park at 9:30 to collect your tote bag with materials for the workshop. We’ll leave at 9:45am to get to our painting location & set up for 10am. The sessions will run for 3 hrs (until 13:00) - you are welcome to take a loo break or have a snack any time.

All materials and easels are provided, but participants will need to bring:
•    A folding chair (unless you don’t mind standing at the easels)
•    Sun protection (hat, sun cream, sunglasses)
•    Footwear suitable for a countryside walk
•    Warm clothes

At 13:00 we will pack up and head back to the reception (arriving there at about 13:15 / 13:30) and drop off our bags.
