“If these woods could talk” history walks at Colby Woodland Garden
Guided history walks around the story-rich gardens and woodland.
Join us for a guided history walk through the Colby's woodland garden and meadow. Learn about the land beneath and uncover the stories, mining, scandals and murder. It may be a green and tranquil space today, but the past beyond the vegetation is there to see.
These walks take place from 10.30am-12pm, booking is advisable but you can also buy tickets on the day. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 for children. The dates for history walks are:
- Saturday 16 May
- Saturday 13 June
- Saturday 11 July
- Saturday 15 August
- Saturday 26 September

- Meet at the Colby Woodland Garden Welcome Centre.
- This is an outdoor event so dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes good for walking in.
- The guided walk is outdoors across the garden, gravel and grassy paths. Steps and steep slopes in places.
- Suitable for children accompanied by an adult.
- National Trust members park for free. Non-members pay parking charges. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
