Join local basket maker Jane and learn how to make a willow strawberry picking basket.
Come and join local basket maker Jane and learn how to make a lovely little strawberry picking basket. It is a friendly and welcoming workshop, where we learn together and explore the slow rhythm of weaving.
Attendees will be using local willow to each make a naturally useful basket, perfect for strawberries!
We will work together, with a pre-made basket base, and Jane will teach you to make a traditional stake and strand basket. Jane will help to finish off your basket with a neat woven boarder and handle.
The course cost £45 and booking is essential.
What to bring:
Please bring along secateurs if you have them, and a water spray bottle if you have one. You may prefer to wear an apron, or old clothes, and please wear shoes which cover your feet. The Buttery café will be open for hot and cold drinks, snacks and lunch or do bring along a picnic.

- Please meet at the Welcome Hut located in the main carpark (EX35 6NU).

- There are accessible parking places. Some of the ground is uneven and undulating in places, with a small step leading into the greenhouse.
