There is an opportunity to handle a number of exciting objects and you may even get the chance to lock up the house, test out the weight of the wooden bucket used to collect water from the well, or even pose for photos wearing a replica 17th century wig!
Discover some of the superstitious beliefs common in the 1600s too and look out for the witch mark.
Participants will also get a sniff of what life was really like for Newton with special smell boxes featuring common odours from the time!
On some of the Family Tour days there will be a storytime session in the orchard and of course the opportunity to admire the famous apple tree.

- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Let the team know you have booked onto the tour when you arrive and they will direct you to the house meeting point.
- Wheelchair access to the ground floor of the Manor House is available. Some of the areas on the tour can only be accessed by stairs. Designated mobility parking next to the visitor entrance. Ramp from car park through the gift shop and steep slope up to the house. Partly accessible grounds, uneven and loose gravel paths, slopes, some steps throughout site. Assistance dogs welcome.
