Orchids and Wildflower Walk around Whiteford Burrows
Join us for a guided walk around Whiteford Burrows on Saturday 13 June 2026 where you'll see a diverse range of wildflowers and wild orchids.
If you're a fan of wildflowers then this then is the walk for you. There could be Bee Orchids, Early Marsh Orchids, Pyramidal Orchids, the very rare Fen Orchid and more. We'll also be looking out for other species such as Bloody Cranesbill, Birdsfoot Trefoil and many more.
We'll meet at 10am and aim to be finished by 1pm. Tickets are £4 per person and the session is capped at 10 people so there'll be plenty of time and space to ask questions about the wildlife of Whiteford

Please note:
- We will meet at the entrance gate to Cwm Ivy. What3words location: nutty.coats.renew
- Please bring a bottle of water and snacks for the duration and we advise wearing outdoor clothing suitable for the weather conditions and sturdy walking boots.
- The terrain can be slightly uneven and there is an uphill walk on our return, so a moderate level of fitness is advised. The trail route isn't suitable for pushchairs or mobility aids.
- This event is not designed with young children in mind.
- There is no parking on site so participants can use local parking facilities such as the pay and display car park in the village of Cwm Ivy.
- There are no toilet facilities available on this walk but there is a local café nearby serving food and drinks with toilet facilities.
