Slow Stitching Workshop
Unwind by the river and discover the mindful art of 'slow stitching' this July.
Join us at the historic Houghton Mill for a creative workshop led by Lisa Baker of I Used To Be Textiles.
Taking inspiration from our unique heritage and the graceful swans of the River Great Ouse, you will create your own framed textile piece to take home. Whether you choose the elegant swan template or a design celebrating the Mill’s rich history, you’ll leave with a beautiful memento made by you.
All materials are provided, and you will finish your piece in a frame, ready to display. No previous sewing experience is required!
When: Sunday, 19th July
Sessions: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm | 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm
Price: £40 per person (includes all materials)
Capacity: Limited to 15 spaces per session

Please note:
- Meet inside the Mill at least ten minutes before your class start-time.
- Materials and tools are provided.
- Classes will be held on the top floor of the Mill, so please come prepared to climb two sets of stairs. (27 stairs in total, with two corners). Chairs and tables will be provided for the classes.
- Suitable for age 18+.
