Richard was The Telegraph’s Adventure Travel Editor for 10 years, is a Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and the Royal Literary Fund, and has adventured across the world including crossing the Hindu Kush and the Andes on horseback, crewing a Whitbread Round the World boat, habituating wild chimpanzees in Uganda, covering the Yukon Quest dog-sledding endurance race, cycling across America by bicycle, rafting the Franklin River in Tasmania, cross-country paragliding in Brazil, trekking the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea and skydiving with the Red Devils.

- This event will take place in the Brownlow Room at Belton Estate, above the Stables Café. Please meet at the doorway by the cutlery station in the café.
- There is a lift to the first floor where the Brownlow Room is located. Accessible parking is available and a shuttle is provided which can take you from here to the venue. A changing places facility and accessible toilets are also available on site.
