Botanical Dyeing Workshop

Guided by Sian Lester textile designer and artist create your own fabric collection by experimenting with natural colours sourced from Berrington's garden.

Discover the colours hidden in our gardens during this hands‑on natural dyeing workshop.

You will begin by exploring the flower and kitchen garden to identify and gather dye‑giving plants. Guided by Sian, learn how to turn these natural materials into beautiful colour, experiencing the practical and sensory process of dyeing with plants grown on site.

You’ll then use Japanese shibori techniques to dye wool cloth, experimenting with folds, patterns, and textures to create your own unique designs.

Perfect for all abilities. This workshop offers a relaxed, creative experience where you can leave with a collection of hand‑dyed fabrics and new skills to take home.

£40 per ticket. Normal admission applies for non-members.
