Tramper Hire at Branscombe

Members of Countryside Mobility can now comfortably explore the picturesque Branscombe Valley by booking an all-terrain scooter – the Tramper.

The Tramper route follows a gravel path of approximately 1 km along the Branscombe Valley to the beach, offering the chance to enjoy the picturesque countryside and far-reaching coastal views. You may wish to pause along the way for refreshments at the Old Bakery or Sea Shanty café at the beach or bring a picnic and use the accessible picnic tables along the footpath.

You must already be a member of Countryside Mobility before you can hire the Tramper at Branscombe. Unfortunately, we are unable to sign visitors up for membership. You can find out the nearest place to sign up for membership by visiting the Countryside Mobility Website. 

A Tramper is an electric, all-terrain mobility scooter specially designed to travel safely over rough ground and grass. Many users find it opens up opportunities to explore the countryside with friends and family.
With a top speed of 4 mph, it can comfortably keep pace with walking companions. The Tramper is simple to operate.

Please note:

  • Please come to the Ranger's yard behind the National Trust car park.
  • Please remember to bring your Countryside Mobility membership card.
  • Branscombe village is accessed along a narrow network of lanes. There are toilets, visitor information and a café in the village near the main car parking areas. There is a toilet with level access. Visitors can follow a 1km relatively level, accessible walking/wheeling route to the beach from the National Trust car park.
  • Suitable for children over 14 years.
