Step into a world of colour, calm and creativity as we explore botanical watercolours in the breathtaking walled gardens of Clumber Park.
This joyful session is perfect for beginners — a chance to slow down, breathe deeply and discover the magic of painting flowers with confidence and curiosity.
Imogen will guide you through playful, easy to follow exercises that reveal how watercolour really works: how pigments dance and blend, how shapes emerge from simple strokes, and how light and shadow bring each bloom to life. You’ll learn the difference between painting soft, delicate petals and more structured leaves, using step by step techniques that feel achievable and fun.
Together, we’ll mix fresh, vibrant colours, create smooth washes, and explore how tiny shifts in tone can add depth and dimension to your petals and leaves. Throughout the workshop, you’ll build a beautiful collection of small floral studies — each one growing your confidence and helping you capture the character of a flower without pressure or perfectionism.
By the end, you’ll leave with a handful of joyful, colourful paintings… and the inspiration to keep exploring watercolour at home.
