Watercolour Workshop
Join the National Trust and Alex Stead Art for an inspiring afternoon of painting with watercolours at the historic Houghton Mill.
Join us at the historic Houghton Mill for a creative workshop led by artist Alex Stead.
Taking inspiration from our 18th century building, you will create your own watercolour piece to take home. Working from templates produced by Alex, you’ll leave with a beautiful memento made by you.
All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own art supplies if you’d prefer. No previous experience is required!

Capacity: Limited to 8 spaces per session.

Please note:
- Meet inside the Mill at least ten minutes before your class start-time.
- Art materials will be provided, but feel free to bring along some of your own if you’d prefer.
- Classes will be held on the top floor of the Mill, so please come prepared to climb two sets of stairs. (27 stairs in total, with two corners). Chairs and tables will be provided for the classes.
- Suitable for 18+.
