Your Stourhead Regency film moment 

Step into your very own regency Pride and Prejudice Moment. Be Darcy, Be Elizabeth, Be the star of your own short film.

This year Stourhead have collaborated with Bath Theatrical Costume Hire and film producer James Godman to allow four couples to recreate the iconic proposal scene from Joe Wrights adaptation of Jane Austens Pride and Prejudice. 
 
Upon arrival at Stourhead you will make your way to hair, make-up and costume before filming begins in the garden. Recreate Elizabeth running over the Palladian Bridge, walking to the Temple of Apollo and then the proposal scene up at The Temple of Apollo.  
 
Once filming has completed enjoy a cream tea and glass of champagne as you take in the magnificent views. You are then free to parade the gardens before heading home.  

Ticket holders within 30 miles can be collected and chauffaeur driven to and from Stourhead. Please note, that this needs to be from the same address per couple.  

Your own personal mini film of around 5 minutes in length along with some photographs from the day will be sent to you by James Godman two weeks after the event.

Your booking includes the provision of a Regency costume which will be provided by Bath Theatrical Theatre Company. Your contact details will be given to them and they will contact you directly regarding measurements for the costume etc.

Please note:

  • You will be met by a member of the Stourhead team upon arrival at Visitor Reception and escorted to the event area.
  • The provision of a costume, provided by Bath Theatrical Theatre Company, is included. Your contact details will be given to them and they will contact you regarding measurements for the costume etc.
  • The Temple of Apollo is up a steep cobbled hill. It is possible to drive to within 100m of the Temple. The Temple Balcony is up a set of steps.  Please advise us if you require assistance with access.
