Sayes Court Bird Survey
Join us for a guided bird survey on the Sayes Court Estate and help record local birdlife.
Whether you’re an experienced birdwatcher or completely new to surveying, this friendly and relaxed session is a great way to get outdoors, learn new skills, and discover the wildlife right on your doorstep.
What to expect
- A guided bird walk, stopping at fixed points to record birds we see and hear
- Support with identifying birds visually and by birdsong
Event duration: 60-90 minutes

Please note:
- Please meet at Langford House, 7 Evelyn St, Deptford, London, SE8 5QJ. (The corner of Evelyn Street and New Kings Street, next to the Langford House green space.)
- It is approx. 1 mile gentle, stop and start walk.
- If you have them, please bring binoculars and bird ID guides.
- A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow on the day.
- Dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear.
- All ages are welcome. Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Not suitable for dogs.
