Nature and history walk in Branscombe
Take a walk into the hills around Branscombe, taking in nature and heritage as you delve into the surroundings of this historic village.
This walk goes up into the hills past Branscombe school, finding its way over the top and then down to the Fountainhead pub. The route then proceeds through Pitts Coppice, joining the SW Coast Path, before descending to the village church. The walk then follows the main road back to the NT car park.
Several strenuous sections - not for the infirm.
Please note:
- Please meet at National Trust carpark, Margells Bridge, Branscombe, EX12 3DB.
- Please wear sturdy footwear. Bring rainwear if it looks necessary. Some of it is quite exposed so an extra layer may be sensible.
- Includes some uneven and uphill stretches. Not suitable for mobility scooters.
- Suitable for children aged 12+, with supervision.
- Well-behaved dogs welcome on short leads.
- Please assemble no later than 10 minutes before departure time.
