Dark skies festival - Astrophotography in the Doone Valley

Ever wanted to learn about capturing the beauty of the Exmoor landscape and dark skies at night time?

Join local photographer Mark Johnson to learn how to capture the beauty of the Exmoor landscape and dark skies at night time. 

You'll learn how to make the darkness come alive with your camera, capturing the stars, moon or lights and landscape depending on conditions.

Tickets are £15 for adults and £8 for children, please bring your own cameras with you and dress for the weather.

Please note:

  • We will be meeting at 6 in the car park at Lorna Doone Valley (What 3 words location: ///serenade.cape.hint) before heading out to capture the dark sky.
  • You will need Tripod, a camera and warm clothes, but no experience is necessary.
  • This event involves some walking. Paths may be uneven, grassy or rocky. Toilets are available on site.
  • Children aged 12+ welcome.
