Botanical drawing workshop with Catt Standen
Let your creativity flourish with a Botanical Drawing Workshop with Catt Standen at Croome.
On Saturday 12 September, join us for an immersive botanical drawing workshop that will develop your observational skills while exploring the natural beauty of Croome. Once home to a plant collection that rivalled Kew Gardens, Croome continues to inspire with its beautiful landscapes, historic architecture, and rich botanical heritage.
Led by visual artist Catt Standen, this session combines expert guidance, practical exercises, and creative exploration. You'll visit a variety of locations across Croome, drawing inspiration from historic botanical designs and seasonal plant life while developing your skills in observation and technique.
Throughout the day, you'll create a portfolio of botanical studies before returning to the Court to refine your work and experiment with a range of drawing materials under Catt's supportive tuition.
Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or are an experienced artist looking to hone your skills, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to slow down, observe, and create in the inspiring surroundings of Croome.
A range of materials will be provided, including and A5 complimentary sketchbook for you to work in throughout the day and take home with you. Admission to Croome is included within the ticket price.
