Belton Deer Rut Photography Walk
Join professional photographer and volunteer ranger Jon Pear as he guides you through the parkland, sharing top tips on how to capture the amazing seasonal scenes of the deer rut.
Belton's herd of fallow deer have spent the long, hot summer looking after their fawns and growing some impressive sets of antlers. Autumn is show-time for the master bucks, who will be setting up rutting stands in favourite spots and trying to attract as many does as possible.

Due to the nature of this walk, we ask that there are no dogs as we will enter the deer sanctuary.

- Please meet at the steps at the front of Belton House.
- Please bring a camera or phone camera and wear suitable footwear and appropriate clothing, it can be uneven under foot.
- Ground will be uneven on this walk with some steep inclines. Please call 01476 566116 to discuss access requirements.
- Recommended for older children but all ages welcome with an adult.
- No dogs except assistance dogs on this walk please as we are entering the deer sanctuary.
