Santa Paws at the Rock Houses
Bring your four-legged friends along for a tail-wagging festive adventure at the Rock Houses.
For this special event, the Rock Houses will become completely dog friendly, giving your furry companions the rare opportunity to explore areas that are usually off limits to dogs.
Your canine companion will have the chance to meet Father Christmas, pose for a festive photograph, and receive a special Christmas treat straight from Father Christmas himself.
There will also be a selection of festive accessories available, so your pooch can dress up for the occasion and capture the perfect Christmas picture.
Dogs will be welcome throughout the Rock Houses and in the tearoom, where there will be plenty of festive cheer. Treat your canine friend to some delicious dog-friendly ice cream, while both two-legged and four-legged visitors can enjoy a tempting selection of homemade festive treats.
Visiting Without a Dog?
You are still very welcome to visit if you don't have a dog, or if you'd prefer not to take part in the Santa Paws experience. The site will remain open for normal admission throughout the day, although only one of the restored dwellings will be open for general visits.
There is no need to pre-book for general admission visits.
We look forward to welcoming you and your canine companions for a truly paw-some Christmas celebration at the Rock Houses.
Admission to the Rock Houses applies to non-members. Free entry for National Trust members and under 5s.

- Standard admission charges apply to non-members on arrival.
- Meet us at Visitor Reception 10 minutes before the time stated on your ticket.
- Father Christmas will be in one of the Rock Houses but other activities will be outside so please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Steep slopes and lots of steps. Not suitable for wheelchair users.
- Suitable for all ages.
- Tickets to visit Santa Paws at the Rock Houses cost £7.00 per dog. Humans accompanying their dogs are free of charge but please note that admission to the Rock Houses applies to non-members. Free entry for National Trust members and under 5s.
