Follow our expert historians as they recount some of the more mysterious tales of Tredegar House, ahead of Calan Gaeaf - when the veil between this world and the Otherworld is said to be at its thinnest. 

From Evan Morgan’s black magic practices, to unexplained memories from those who once lived and worked in the mansion house, this two-hour walking tour will guide you through some of the shrouded stories from Morgan family history. 

Things to note:

- This is a two-hour walking tour of the property, with limited opportunities to rest. 

- The content and length of this tour is designed for adults, and therefore it may not be suitable for children. 

- Due to the historic architecture of the house, the route will include steps and is unfortunately unsuitable those who are less mobile. 

- Refreshments are not provided for this event. Food and drink are not permitted in the mansion house and must be securely stowed away when indoors.

- We are unable to admit latecomers once the tour has began.

  • Meet at the black gates next to visitor reception for this guided tour of the house.
    Please arrive 10 mins early,  the house tour starts promptly at 6pm and ends at 8pm.
  • You could bring your own torch, and dress for the weather.
  • Due to the historic architecture of the house, the route will include steps and is unfortunately unsuitable those who are less mobile.
  • The content and length of this tour is designed for adults.
  • You won’t find any gimmicks or actors waiting to jump out at you, and this isn’t a paranormal investigation.  What we can promise is that every story you’ll hear has been lovingly researched and comes from real accounts of staff, visitors, and guests who’ve shared their experiences at Tredegar House over the years.
