Step behind the scenes of a film set and experience how 'Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man' was filmed at Calke Abbey, with authentic costumes on display courtesy of Netflix.

Intrigued by Calke's transformation for the big screen? Discover behind-the-scenes secrets on a small group guided tour around the house.

Following your guide, you’ll see glimpses of the rooms used as the dramatic setting for Tommy Shelby’s home, alongside hearing stories from the filming process. From the conservation and care that went into moving 1,300 objects to allow the production to take place, to whether Shelby should whisk an egg or fry it, there's a lot that goes into filming in a historic setting.

There will be photo opportunities to don a flat cap and imagine yourself in character at Tommy’s typewriter or prop up the Garrison Bar. You'll see  authentic props and costumes used in the film too, courtesy of Netflix.

Please note: 

• Standard Park & Garden admission charges apply to non-members on arrival. 
• Meet at the west door of the house.
• The mansion can be cold and visitors should come dressed suitable for the outdoors. Coats, hats, gloves and shoes with a suitable sole are encouraged.
• The route encounters several flights of stairs and is therefore not wheelchair accessible. Pushchairs must be left outside the house but baby carriers are available to borrow. Fidget toys and ear defenders available.
• Aimed at an adult audience due to the themes of the Peaky Blinder series.
• Tours are free for National Trust members and £5 for non-members. No refunds available once booked.
• The recreated sets visitors will see do not use authentic 'Peaky Blinders' props – they have been recreated using pieces from Calke’s historic and modern handling collections. 
  Where authentic props and costumes are displayed, this will be indicated using signage.
