One Day Conference - ‘The Rossettis: Siblings and Spouses’ Symposium

Step inside the world of the Rossettis at this special one-day conference at Wightwick Manor and Gardens, held alongside the major new exhibition 'The Rossettis: Siblings and Spouses'. Please note, this event finishes at 5pm - not 4:30pm.

Discover the fascinating stories, relationships and creative connections behind one of the most remarkable families of the Victorian age. Throughout the day, explore new perspectives on Christina, Dante Gabriel, Maria and William Rossetti, as well as the lives and work of Elizabeth Siddal and Lucy Madox Brown.

The conference will bring together leading voices from the worlds of art, literature, curation and academia for a stimulating programme of talks and discussion. Hear fresh research into the Rossetti family and their wider circles, uncover the collaborative networks that shaped Pre-Raphaelite art and literature, and discover new ways of understanding and sharing their work with audiences today. The speaker schedule will be shared closer to the time of the event.

Set within the beautiful and atmospheric surroundings of Wightwick Manor, this is a unique opportunity to spend a day immersed in the art, literature and lives of the Rossettis, while gaining new insights into the exhibition and the fascinating world that inspired it.

Your conference ticket includes tea and coffee on arrival, as well as a buffet lunch.
