A guided walk through my landscapes with Sarah Watson

Join internationally selling artist Sarah Watson for an exclusive guided tour of her artworks on display in Grantham House.

Sarah Watson, who has lived in Grantham for 18 years, will be describing the progression of her paintings in the exhibition, which spans a decade of painting the landscape, dipping in and out of various series from Lincolnshire to the Lake District, Wales to Iceland.

Sarah’s first love is the landscape, ideally working 'en plein air', seated on the ground and immersed in the natural world. The feelings of exhilaration and freedom that brings her is channelled directly through her fingers and the palms of her hands. The larger oils on canvas capture that same spirit; they are made back in her studio from photographs she has taken on her trips, referencing the sketches or transposing directly from them.

Hear her talk about her process and the meaning behind the paintings at this fascinating walk and talk.
