It’s a film about land use and farming told by farmers. Blunt, funny and heart warming in equal measure. Arrive early to enjoy a home cooked meal made from 100% organic pasture fed highland cattle.

Join us at Columbjohn Farm on the Killerton estate for a screening of Derek vs Derek. Made by award-winning director James Dawson, it’s a film about land use and farming told by farmers. Blunt, funny and heart warming in equal measure. Film rating 15+.

On a country road in Devon, intensive dairy farmer Derek Banbury is horrified at the “devastation” of his neighbour’s once productive farm.  Dubbed a “maverick rewilder” by the media, Derek Gow is an unrepentant ex-sheep farmer hellbent on turning his land into an oasis for nature. Shot over three years the film charts the two Derek’s turbulent relationship, as tempers fray, wild animals run amok, and the land is radically transformed.

The film will be screened in a barn at Columbjohn Farm on the Killerton Estate.

Homecooked Highland beef stew will be available to buy from 6pm. Those not joining for food are encouraged to arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm film start. 9pm end.
